While, arguably, most of the city could be considered this, the Housing Area of the West Edge does hold around seventy percent of the population, and thus earned the nickname.

The houses, while not exceptionally horrid, are still lower-end middle class, and most of them are more like apartment complexes at that. Some have rather... unfortunate structures.

Sub-board: The Park

Well, not so much as a city as a street, really, but shush shush.

While the strip is closely watched by policemen, that doesn't make it any less of a place to party. Drinking clubs, just pubs, dancing places, exclusive VIP clubs, straight bars, gay bars -- you name it!

It certainly has its niche.

Full with carnival workers around three months of every year, and potheads the other nine, the carnival grounds are a typically... avoided area.

Mostly because carnivals are kind of creepy, and potheads aren't the most entertaining bunch.

More like an extension of High School, WECC is an altogether crummy place, with bad teachers, terrible books, and worthless grounds.

Most students who attend don't actually plan on doing anything past it. As such, you can find roughly a sixth of the population at any given time doing drugs, goofing off, or skipping classes.

That said, for those who do put effort into their learning, and succeed, despite it all -- it is a wonderful door-opener.

Despite its pleasant name, Oakwood is quite a step down from Sagemont.
...Quite a step down.

Though the teachers obviously do try, there are overcrowding issues, funds issues, and "why is there so much graffiti I just cleaned this place" issues. It seems more like a place for kids to goof off and refuse to learn than anything else.

And yet, pay attention, and you'll go places.

The Nylan Bridge links East and West together, and thus, is a subject to many class wars, weird shenanigans, and overall oddities.

Or, you know, people on their way to and from work. Sensible things like that.
Then again, the people like that don't tend to stay on it very long.

The bridge is sectioned off in three - one middle section for cars, and two sections on the sides for pedestrians/bikers/skaters, the ilk.

Sub-board: Under the Bridge

Oakwood High is almost identical to Oakwood Middle, except in cases of teen pregnancy and STD scares.

Once again, the teachers do try, and arguably it's home to the greatest music program in the city -- but these are of little consolation to any who are not band geeks.

Probably the most bustling area in New Haven from locals and tourists alike, the Shopping District houses all of your needs, wants and desires on about four different blocks of gigantic department stores of name brand wares.
Off to the edge is a mall - also gigantic - which houses the best food court you'll likely ever see, and stores out the wazoo.

The last of the educational journey of the privileged few in East Edge, and by no means a weak area at that. Professors from all sorts of places, interesting lectures, exciting opportunities - it's all here.

Some West Edge kids do end up going here, due to the scholarship opportunities the University opens up for hard working students, but they are few.

Where all the commerce happens in New Haven. Stuffy, office jobs, soul-sucking duties, the works. No one likes working here, but hey, it's a living.

Sub-boards: Event Hall, City Hall

In the middle of the East Edge lies a large and fantastic park, full of sculptures, trails, lakes, and other such things.

It's all rather pretty, and perfect for picnicking or just getting out of the house.

A very pretty area of New Haven, housing the best of them in large, lavish apartments and all that manner. These apartment complexes are tall as can be, and the penthouses are, obviously, the most expensive.

Prep school, even for those middle school kids.
These kids are obviously sucking on a silver spoon, but as long as they work to the teachers' impossible standards, it's excusable.

The central hub of all artistic pursuits in New Haven. Opera houses, symphony theaters, play centers, all that jazz.
